[ad#ad-1]Typographic logos can be used in so many ways.  It’s much more difficult to get a point across when you are just using typography.  With an image plus print logo you can design a photo relating to the company.  If done creatively and effectively typography logos can be brandable.  In trying find some inspiration for my own work, I’ve found some really great logos that may help you with your next client.

We are all familiar with Google and what they do.  If you don’t then chances are you might be part alien.  Anyways, Google is the most successful company in the world.  They have revolutionized how the internet is operating.  Google, the powerhouse in search engines, now has branched off into many products and services across the web.  Take a look into the offices of Google, they take a more creative approach to working.  Some companies have taken this approach but not as many as I would like.  Just take a look and tell me you don’t want to work here.

Web 2.0 is a term thrown out everyday in the online world.  But what is it exactly?  It’s the 2nd coming (remember the dot com bust) of the  world wide web and the interaction between people.  Many internet ventures are coined web 2.0 because they are predecessors of sites that did not make the new century.

Ebay was one of the first sites to interact users from around the globe.  One person would sell, another person at his or her computer would buy it.  Ebay was a platform for seller and buyer to meet and it was a big success.  Over the years the internet has shifted to social networks such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Friendster, etc.  Today, we see cell phones being the central hub for social network sites and the market has grown to astronomical numbers.  It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for us or if we will repeat history and see a collapse (I highly doubt it).  Will there be a web 3.0 and then 4.0?  Will Facebook go down in flames?  Are we hear to stay or do I need to pursue another profession?  Who knows, only time will tell but until then I’m riding the wave of this great trend.  To get a better idea of what a web 2.0 logo looks like, below are some great one’s backed by strong companies.

I composed a collection of the best Nike sneaker designs on the current market.  Sneaker design is an art form embraced by many “Shoeheads” across the globe.  For many these shoes are not to be worn on their feet but to show off as a collector’s item.  Its not a fashion statement…its a culture.
